Modi Announces Anticipation for Meeting with 'His Friend Vladimir Putin'

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has traveled to Moscow, where he will participate in a Russian-Indian summit, as announced by his office.

Before departing, the politician expressed his eagerness to meet with President Vladimir Putin, referring to him as a friend. Modi pointed out that the special and privileged strategic partnership between India and Russia has advanced over the past decade, encompassing sectors such as energy, security, trade, investment, healthcare, education, culture, tourism, and interpersonal exchanges.

India's Deputy Foreign Minister Vinay Kwatra had earlier confirmed that Modi will attend a private dinner with Putin in the evening.

On Tuesday, Modi is scheduled to meet with the Indian community in Russia. This will be followed by a narrow-format conversation between the leaders of the two countries, after which negotiations will take place at the level of delegations headed by the heads of state.

According to the Kremlin's press service, Putin and Modi will discuss the prospects for further development of the traditional friendly relations between Russia and India, as well as current issues on the international and regional agenda.
