China's Foreign Ministry Issues Sharp Statement Against NATO

NATO is a serious source of threat to the global community as it provokes confrontation. This was stated by the official representative of China’s Foreign Ministry, Lin Qiang, during a press briefing, according to ‘RIA Novosti’.

“NATO is stepping outside of the realm of defense and inciting confrontation, which demonstrates its entrenched Cold War mentality and ideological biases. This poses real risks to global peace,” emphasized Qiang. He noted that although the North Atlantic Alliance calls itself a defensive bloc, it continuously ‘expands its powers’ and provokes confrontation around the world.
