The polling stations for the parliamentary snap elections in France have closed.

According to French BMF TV, the leading coalition is the left-wing 'New Popular Front' party alliance, which has secured 175-205 seats in parliament. In second place, based on preliminary data, is Emmanuel Macron's 'Together' coalition, which has gathered 150-175 mandates. The third position is held by Marine Le Pen's right-wing 'National Rally' party, which can expect 115-150 seats in parliament.

Thus, according to the results of the second round, no coalition achieved an outright majority in the National Assembly.
