Zelensky Names 2 Countries That Can End the War in Ukraine
The United States and China could end the war in Ukraine if they set aside their differences and work together, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in an interview with Bloomberg Television.
He believes that China can play a "huge role" in resolving the conflict, as Moscow is heavily dependent on its export market, which includes China.
"I think that America and China together... I know that they have many significant issues between them. I understand that. But it seems to me that if we want this war to end justly for Ukraine and for the whole world, they need to find some common ground," the state leader noted.
Zelensky also denied reports that Ukrainian and Russian forces have reached a stalemate on the battlefield. According to him, Ukrainian military forces are currently in a better position in terms of manpower compared to a few months ago, and the new Ukrainian offensive is simply a matter of equipping units.
Additionally, Zelensky emphasized that Western military equipment is taking too long to reach the front lines. "This is the biggest tragedy of this war: we are waiting for so, so, so long for decisions to be implemented," Zelensky stated.
It is noteworthy that recently, Finnish President Alexander Stubb mentioned that China could end the war in Ukraine with a single phone call at the highest level. He remarked that Russia is now highly dependent on China. "A phone call from President Xi Jinping will resolve this crisis," Stubb stated.
