Putin Says Who Hinders Russian-Turkish Relations
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's political will contributes to the development of Russian-Turkish relations. This was reported by "RIA Novosti."
"It is known who is hindering us," said the Russian leader at a press conference following the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
During the negotiations with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the summit on July 4, Erdogan expressed concerns about the potential global spread of the Middle Eastern and Ukrainian conflicts.
On July 3, a meeting lasting about an hour took place between Putin and Erdogan in Astana. The event occurred at the Ritz Carlton hotel, where the leaders spoke in a designated negotiation room.
Erdogan informed Putin that Ankara would continue its efforts to establish peace in Ukraine. The Turkish president also invited his Russian counterpart to Turkey.
Earlier, discussions had taken place in the Kremlin regarding unresolved issues between Russia and Turkey.
