Putin and Erdogan Meeting Ends: What Was Discussed
The negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Astana have concluded. The conversation between the two leaders took place in a meeting room at the Ritz Carlton hotel, as reported by a correspondent from RIA Novosti.
During the discussions, President Putin highlighted that Russia and Turkey continue to actively work on several critical areas of international politics. “We are actively working together in a number of important areas of international politics, we are in constant touch with each other, and our ministries and agencies regularly exchange information and coordinate positions on key issues,” said Putin.
Putin also expressed gratitude to Erdogan for the favorable conditions created for Russian tourists visiting Turkey. “I want to note that last year we likely saw a record number of our tourists—6.3 million arrivals from Russia. I thank you for the conditions created in Turkey,” emphasized Putin.
