Tragic Car Accident in Kotayk Region: 1 Dead, 3 Injured

Today, on July 2, a tragic car accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 08:40, a "Mercedes" vehicle was traveling toward Sevan in the administrative area of Abovyan on the Yerevan-Sevan highway when it fell into a water-filled pothole caused by rainwater. The vehicle then moved forward, collided with a protective concrete barrier, and ended up in the traffic lane.

This was reported by shamshyan.com. According to a photojournalist present at the scene, one person died on the spot, and three others were transported with bodily injuries to the Abovyan Medical Center.

Civilians, police officers from the Kotayk regional detachment, and emergency medical teams from the Abovyan Medical Center were the first to assist the injured. One of the injured individuals was transported to the hospital by the police in their service vehicle.
