Names of Deceased and Injured Discharged Soldiers in Accident Revealed
The Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue service has provided details on a car accident involving discharged soldiers in the Syunik province. On July 11, at 11:04 AM, the crisis management center of the Syunik regional rescue department received a call regarding an accident on the Sisian-Gorayk highway, necessitating rescue assistance.
Two fire-rescue units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' regional rescue department were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that a Mitsubishi vehicle (driver: A. M.) had gone off the road on the 34th kilometer of the Sisian-Yerevan highway and rolled approximately 300 meters into a nearby gorge. Both the driver and passenger A. M. (born in 2004) were pronounced dead at the scene, with their bodies being transferred to a vehicle for transportation.
Before rescuers arrived, passengers A. A. (born in 2004), N. D. (born in 2004), S. M. (born in 2004), and R. O. (born in 2003) were transported to a medical center. Rescuers disconnected the vehicle's battery, closed the gas valve, and helped injured H. S. (born in 2004) out of the gorge, bringing them to an ambulance.
Earlier reports from Shamshyan.com indicated that the accident resulted in the immediate deaths of driver Arthur Mnatsakanyan and his passenger, 20-year-old Armen Mamyanyan from Tavush. Other passengers, including 20-year-old Azat Arakelyan from Shirak, 20-year-old Norair Danielyan from Tavush, as well as Shirak residents 20-year-old Rafik Voskanyan, 20-year-old Samvel Mamikonyan, and Tavush resident Haik Sarikyan, were transported with physical injuries to the Zangezur garrison hospital. According to sources, the Mitsubishi was in operation as a taxi, and one of the deceased, along with the other injured passengers, had been discharged and was returning home.
