Major Car Accident on Ashtarak-Aparan Highway: Casualties Reported

A major car accident occurred on the Ashtarak-Aparan highway, resulting in casualties, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It was reported that today at 06:57, the emergency response center of the Ararat Regional Rescue Department received a call stating that an accident had happened near the village of Artashavan and that assistance from rescuers was required.

A team of firefighters-rescuers from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene.

It has been determined that at the 12th kilometer of the Ashtarak-Aparan highway, vehicles of the brands 'Ford' (driver: G.A.) and 'Nissan' (driver: V.M.) collided. Rescuers transported V.M. to the ambulance on a stretcher. Both V.M. and G.A. were hospitalized. Doctors have assessed the health conditions of the injured as satisfactory.

Rescuers also disabled the vehicles and closed the gas cylinder valve of the 'Nissan' vehicle.
