Suspicious Substances and Prohibited Items Discovered in Parcel Sent from Abroad

Employees of the «Vanadzor» Penitentiary have discovered suspicious substances and prohibited items in a parcel sent from abroad.

The security officers of the Ministry of Justice’s «Vanadzor» Penitentiary searched a parcel addressed to detained individual S.B. that was sent from abroad.

Among the food containers in the parcel, they found 20 packets and a box of factory-produced playing cards. Upon inspecting one of the packets, officers discovered a brown, powder-like suspicious substance. The 20 packets identified have been sent by the operational department of the «Vanadzor» territorial division to the Lori region investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee.
