Montenegro National Team Goalkeeper Matija Sarkic Passes Away at 26

Matija Sarkic, the goalkeeper for the Montenegro national team, has passed away at the age of 26. This information was confirmed by the press service of English club Millwall, where the player had been active since 2023.

Reports indicate that Sarkic fell ill on Saturday morning at an apartment in Budva, Montenegro.

Since 2019, Sarkic had participated in nine matches for the national team, with his last appearance being on June 5 against Belgium.

The Football Federation of Montenegro and Millwall FC have expressed their condolences regarding Sarkic's death.
