Investigative Committee Raids 'GG' Taxi Service Office
Currently, the Armenian Investigative Committee is conducting a raid at the office of the 'GG' taxi service. This was reported to 'Patsinfo' by supporters of the 'Tavush for the Homeland' movement.
The press secretary of the Investigative Committee stated that they are unaware of the details regarding the case under which the raid is being conducted at the 'GG' taxi service office.
In response to a verbal inquiry from the media, G. Abrahamyan noted that they would provide an update if there is any information that can be publicly disclosed.
Lawyer Arsen Babayan has announced on his Facebook page that the raid is currently taking place at the office of the GG company. He, along with lawyer Sergey Harutyunyan, is heading to the location. They will issue a statement if there are additional details.
It should be noted that earlier, Medianews reported that a post by Khachatur Grigoryan, the founder of the 'GG' taxi company, has been a topic of discussion on social media since yesterday. Grigoryan actively supports the movement led by Bagrat Galstanyan and mentioned in his post that 'if you are Armenian, if you want me to respect you when greeting me, you should be at Baghramyan.' This statement has sparked dissatisfaction among users.
Many have posted on their Facebook pages stating that they are ceasing to use the taxi service because the entrepreneur is intertwining politics with business.
It should also be reminded that the Competition Protection Commission initiated proceedings against the 'GG' closed joint-stock company on May 21. This was in response to reports that upon using the 'gg' application to register a cashless order, the amount presented at the end of the ride was increased, as well as charging more than agreed upon at the time of order completion, which allegedly led to misleading the public regarding unfair competition.
The proceedings were triggered by a citizen's report, as well as an email received.
Bagrat Galstanyan and his supporters have set up tents and opened Baghramyan Avenue. Galstanyan has announced that the four-day process has concluded.
