Discussion on Government Resignation Proposal Postponed: What is the Reason?
The National Assembly's permanent commission on state and legal issues has postponed the discussion of the proposal concerning the resignation of the government and the necessity to form a new government by up to two months. The vice-chairman of the commission, Arusyak Julhakyan, stated that the discussion was postponed due to the absence of the main rapporteur, in accordance with the 'Regulations of the National Assembly' constitutional law.
The opposition factions 'Armenia' and 'I Have Honor' had submitted a request to the National Assembly council, demanding an extraordinary session be convened as soon as possible, on any day from June 11 to June 17, to discuss the demand for the government's resignation and the necessity of forming a new government. The National Assembly council rejected the opposition factions' request to hold an extraordinary session as soon as possible.
