West Has Heard Putin's Remarks on Potential Russian Arms Supplies to Other Countries: Lavrov

Russian President Vladimir Putin's signal regarding potential supplies of Russian weapons to other countries has been heard and understood in the West. There are still people there who are capable of analysis, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Earlier, President Putin admitted in an interview with leading world media that Moscow might start supplying weapons to countries that attack "sensitive targets," which are arming Kyiv for strikes on Russian territory. As attacks on the Russian Federation involving Western countries signify direct warfare against Russia, Moscow will respond accordingly, Putin stated.

“I have no doubt that they have heard, I have no doubt that they will understand. There are still people who know how to analyze and are not just engaging in exacerbations to satisfy their radical electorate before the next electoral campaign. I believe they will understand, or rather, I think they have understood and will draw conclusions,” Lavrov said in an interview with journalist Pavel Zarubin, the video of which was published on the journalist's Telegram channel.

The Foreign Minister added that this is a symmetric response: “If you arm our enemy, then we will decide for ourselves how to respond to your hostile actions.”

It is worth noting that Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, commenting on Putin’s statement, mentioned that the Kremlin would not specify which countries and regions Russian weapons could be supplied to, as the Russian president has said everything.
