Humanitarian Aid Delivery to Gaza Resumes via American Temporary Port

The delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip has resumed via an American temporary port. This was reported by the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) on their microblog.

“Today, at approximately 10:30 AM Gaza time, the U.S. Central Command began delivering humanitarian aid to the shores of the Gaza Strip,” the statement said.

It was noted that since the resumption of port operations, approximately 492 tons of cargo have been supplied to the residents of Gaza. In total, the U.S. has delivered 1,573 tons of cargo.

According to the report, this is part of the support for the International Development Agency’s program to provide additional assistance to Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip and is entirely humanitarian in nature. It includes humanitarian assistance provided by a number of countries and organizations.

Previously, U.S. Department of Defense spokesperson Sabrina Singh had reported that adverse weather conditions had damaged the port, which will be repaired in the Israeli city of Ashdod.
