This Movement Is More Than Just a Change of Power: Bagrat Srbazan
This movement is more than just a change of power. It is a civilizational movement, imbued with value-based content. We have undergone a significant decline, and we are in chaos. This was stated by the leader of the 'Tavush for the Homeland' movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, in an interview with international media.
According to Bagrat Srbazan, their goal is not merely to gain power but rather to enact a broader change in life itself. He emphasized that this represents a shift in the value sphere, a change in public perception and behavior.
“In a certain sense, we will do everything in our power to ensure that everything proceeds through legal means. It is also important to remember that while we respect the force of the law, the force of rights is often greater than the force of the law itself. This is a popular movement, and based on the criteria I mentioned, it will certainly reach its logical conclusion,” said Bagrat Srbazan.
When asked whether he believes that, aside from Pashinyan’s resignation, the public should be presented with a plan to understand how they intend to pull Armenia out of the geopolitical crisis, especially when the movement for border demarcation is focused on rallies in Yerevan, while in the regions, the authorities continue their processes, and if they have thought of preventive mechanisms, the Srbazan responded that they are not preoccupied with rallies.
“The entire movement is directed at prevention. We have said that this movement originated in Kiran and Voskepar, but its solution lies in Yerevan. It doesn’t end with Kiran or Voskepar; it spreads throughout all of Armenia. What we are implementing is aimed at preventing such situations,” he added.
