X social network has temporarily blocked the campaign page of Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission. This information was reported by Politico.

"Elon Musk's X platform briefly froze von der Leyen's campaign page last night, restoring it an hour later," the publication writes.

According to representatives of the social network, von der Leyen's team was subjected to a systematic spam attack, during which around 10,000 messages were sent. Her campaign team views this as a coordinated cyberattack, with some emails sent from accounts named 'Olaf Scholz'.

Ursula von der Leyen assumed the role of President of the European Commission in 2019, becoming the first woman in this position. At the end of February 2024, von der Leyen confirmed that she would run for a second term.
