China Comments on Biden's Remarks About Potential Use of US Armed Forces in Taiwan
No threat can shake China’s resolve to defend its territorial integrity. This was stated by the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Mao Ning, during a press briefing in response to a TASS reporter's request to comment on US President Joe Biden's remarks regarding the potential use of American armed forces in Taiwan.
"The Taiwan issue is exclusively a domestic affair of China, and any foreign interference is unacceptable," he declared. "No pressure, no threat can undermine the firm determination, will, and strength of the Chinese government and people to protect national sovereignty and territorial integrity," he stated.
According to him, the Chinese people will decide how to resolve the Taiwan issue. Earlier, US President Joe Biden had stated in an interview with Time magazine that he does not rule out the use of American armed forces to defend Taiwan in the event of a hypothetical Chinese invasion.
