Video: 15 Injured by Lightning Strike, One Child Airlifted to Hospital in Czechia
Fifteen people were injured by a lightning strike in the city of Liberec in northern Czechia. The police reported this on June 2 via social media platform X.
“Today at noon, lightning struck the ground in the garden of the Vratislavice Castle (a district of Liberec) and injured 15 people. We are currently ensuring the unobstructed passage of ambulances and providing assistance,” said the statement.
Ceske Noviny reported that among the 13 hospitalized individuals, five are children. Additionally, one child was airlifted to a hospital in Prague. The incident occurred around 3:30 PM local time (5:30 PM Yerevan time) when a children's event was taking place in the garden.
Václav Rihard, a representative from the hospital, announced that all patients are conscious and none have sustained burns.
