VIDEO: "Healthy Lifestyle and Cycling Culture" - Nikol Pashinyan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has posted a video on Facebook with the caption: "On the occasion of Cyclist's Day." While riding a bicycle, the Prime Minister noted that cycling is not only about a healthy lifestyle but also an "eco-friendly" means of transportation that provides freedom of thought.
“Unlike a car, which at times isolates us from nature with its tinted and armored windows, cycling allows us to connect with the environment. I generally ride my bike occasionally, but today’s public bike ride aims to draw everyone’s attention to the importance of a healthy lifestyle and cycling culture. Recently, when we were in Copenhagen, we literally witnessed a cycling traffic jam; it was a very inspiring and beautiful sight,” he stated.
It is worth noting that today, June 2, a bicycle parade and an amateur cycling competition was held in Yerevan in connection with International Bicycle Day. The city hall reports that the event was organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Armenia. Around 300 cyclists participated in the competition.
