Major Car Accident in Kotayk: Vehicle Reduced to Scrap Metal
Today, on June 2, a major car accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 18:10, a ZIL truck left the roadway on the Sevaberd-Zar highway under still unclear circumstances, crashed into rocks, and ended up in a ravine.
According to Shamshyan, medical personnel provided first aid on the spot before transporting the injured to the hospital. One of the injured was taken to the Saint Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center in Yerevan, while another was sent to the Abovyan Medical Center.
Following the incident, a criminal investigation has been initiated at the Abovyan Investigative Division, where the identities of the driver and the injured are being determined. Sources report that as a result of the collision, the vehicle has been reduced to scrap metal, with the steering wheel and gas cylinders broken and thrown out.
