Extraordinary Incident in Yerevan: 39-Year-Old Inmate Injures His Wrists and Neck

According to SHAMSHYAN, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan on May 31. At around 20:30, the police received a report from the head of the court's administrative division in the Nazarbekyan district that an inmate had engaged in self-harm about 30 minutes prior in the court.

Sources indicate that around 20:00, in courtroom No. 5 on the third floor of the court, inmate Vaxtang M., a 39-year-old resident of the Kotayk region, damaged his wrists and neck with a metal part of a lighter he had on him.

Documents regarding the incident have been prepared by the police of the Mashtots division and forwarded to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia's Yerevan investigative department for the Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts.
