24 Ton Truck Loaded with Rebar Catches Fire

Today, June 2, a major fire occurred in the Syunik region. At around 16:30, the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received a call informing them that a truck was on fire at the intersection in the village of Tashtun in the Meghri administrative area.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, it was determined that, under still unknown circumstances, a fire broke out in the front cabin of a Volvo truck with Iranian license plates. Firefighters extinguished the blaze; however, the vehicle, which was loaded with 24 tons of rebar, has become unusable.
