VIDEO. Heavy Rainfall Claims 7 Lives in Iran
Severe flooding has occurred in Iran's Razavi Khorasan Province due to relentless rainfall. At least seven people have lost their lives as a result of the flooding, with several others reported missing. This information was shared by Seyed Reza Abbas Neishabouri, the head of the province's crisis management department, according to the IRNA news agency.
Mohsun Davari, the governor of Mashhad Province, announced that 150 residents of the village of Chenarak and 300 residents of the village of Sultanabad have been evacuated. The Iranian Meteorological Organization has indicated that new floods may occur in northeastern Iran and has urged residents of Razavi Khorasan, North Khorasan, Golestan, and Semnan provinces to take necessary precautions.
A weather alert at the “orange” level has been issued for Fars and Ardabil provinces, with heavy rainfall expected to continue in several regions.
