Shooting Incident in Vostan Village Cemetery, Ararat Province: 1 Dead, 1 Injured

On May 16, a shooting and murder occurred in Ararat Province. Around 22:00, operational information was received at the Ararat Provincial Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and at the Artashat division that shots had been fired in the cemeteries of Vostan village, resulting in 1 death and 1 injury.

According to Shamshyan, police discovered the body of a man with gunshot wounds in the cemetery, while another individual was transported with gunshot wounds to the 'Artashat' medical center.

A criminal case has been initiated by the Ararat Provincial Investigative Department under the characteristics of 'murder' and 'attempted murder'. The police and the investigative department are working to establish the identities of the deceased and the injured.

The source reports that at the scene, besides the deceased, police and investigators also found a hunting rifle, a fired cartridge, a baseball bat, as well as vehicles of the VAZ-2106 and VAZ-2121 models, and traces of what appeared to be blood.
