Britain Calls New Russian Defense Minister Putin's 'Puppet'

The UK Defense Secretary Grant Shapps has commented on Russian President Vladimir Putin's decision to replace Sergei Shoigu with Andrei Belousov as the head of the Ministry of Defense in Russia. He made the relevant announcement on the social media platform X.

According to Shapps, the new Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation will be Putin's next 'puppet'.

"Under Sergei Shoigu’s leadership, the Russian Federation has lost over 355,000 soldiers. Russia needs a defense minister who will eliminate that disastrous legacy and put an end to the invasion, but what they will get is yet another puppet of Putin," Shapps wrote.
