Boundary Demarcation Works Not Yet Resumed in Kiranq, Residents Say

Boundary demarcation and delimitation works have not yet resumed in Kiranq, despite prior announcements that the deadline for the completion of these works was set for May 15. This was reported today, May 15, by local residents of Kiranq to NEWS.am.

“Currently, no work is being conducted; people are simply waiting to see what will happen,” villagers conveyed.

It is important to note that on May 7, the boundary demarcation and delimitation works were temporarily halted in the Kiranq area without official clarification.

Additionally, it has been recalled that on April 19, the commissions for boundary demarcation between Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed to start the process from the Tavush region. The description of the boundary sections will be based on the precisions obtained from geodetic measurements in the area, which are expected to be completed by May 15, 2024.
