Ararat Mirzoyan Discusses Negotiations with Bayramov in Almaty
The negotiations held in Almaty with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov were constructive. This statement was made by Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan during a press conference with the current OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Trade of Malta, Ian Borg.
"Our recent negotiations with the Azerbaijani side took place in a constructive atmosphere. The process continues and is proceeding in accordance with the principles we have repeatedly stated," Mirzoyan noted.
It is important to mention that direct negotiations between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, took place in Almaty on May 10-11. Following the talks, the ministers welcomed the progress made on border delimitation issues and the agreements reached in this direction. The parties agreed to continue discussions on unresolved issues.
The initiator of the meeting was Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
