VIDEO: Closing Interstate Roads is Not a Good Thing, Says Hakob Arshakyan
When the revolution was happening in Armenia, citizens had a problem choosing the government, as their votes were being falsified, and they were unable to exercise the authority granted to them by the Constitution. Today, that situation no longer exists.
This was stated by the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, Hakob Arshakyan, during a conversation with journalists at the ‘Victory’ park on May 9, in response to remarks about his declaration that closing interstate roads is not a good thing, even though they came to power by blocking roads.
“Yes, I believe that closing interstate roads is not a good thing because it is against the development of the economy. It is not a way to protest against the legitimately elected authorities in Armenia. Blocking roads and making noise, protesting to make your voice heard does not lead to anything,” he said.
Arshakyan declined to answer other questions.
