VIDEO: After That, One Simple Thing Will Happen - War Will Begin, Says Pashinyan

The process of border demarcation is proposed to be halted, which means the process of forming security guarantees for Armenia will be suspended, and the process of establishing Armenia’s sovereignty will be paused. This was stated today, on May 7, during a press conference by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, addressing the movement led by Bishop Bagrat and its demands.

“I am telling you, dear clergy and journalists, that when we say we will halt the process in broad daylight today, what will happen afterward? There will be one simple thing – war will begin. At least the analysis of who and how responds to this process convinces me that the goal has been to prevent the border demarcation from happening, which will inevitably lead to war. Moreover, in this case, the war will not be delegitimized. The forces that demand to stop the demarcation, naturally, with the support of those forces and external powers, will do everything to occupy new territories from Armenia, using this to implement political changes in Armenia. But it is also important what will happen in that scenario,” he said.

He also noted, “One of the well-known figures of the opposition is casting doubt on the expediency of conducting free and fair elections in Armenia live on air. This means that Armenia’s sovereignty is being called into question. A number of internal and external forces need a war to change the government without elections. Only that scenario makes this feasible. The same scenario was in place during the 44-day war. It was the famous talk about halting the war on the 7th day; what that was about, where it was coming from, and where it was going, what purpose it served.”
