US Comments on Russia's Nuclear Exercises

The United States does not consider the nuclear drills ordered by Russian President Vladimir Putin to be a threat, said U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller during a briefing.

“Russia’s nuclear rhetoric has been reckless and irresponsible throughout the war, but we do not see a basis for changing our nuclear posture in response to Russia’s statements. There are still no signs that Russia intends to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine,” Miller stated.
