Medvedev Threatens Nuclear Strike

Russia will respond to the deployment of Western troops to Ukraine with a nuclear strike on Washington, Paris, and London, said Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia.

“The deployment of their forces in Ukraine will mean the direct involvement of these countries in the war, to which we will have to respond. And, unfortunately, not on Ukrainian territory. A global catastrophe will occur,” Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel.

He warned that Western elites would not be able to hide from Russia's response in the Capitol Hill, the Élysée Palace, and Downing Street 10. “By the way, this was understood by Kennedy and Khrushchev more than 60 years ago. But the infantile idiots currently in power in the West do not wish to understand,” Medvedev emphasized.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it will conduct exercises “in the near future,” during which the use of non-strategic nuclear weapons will be developed. The Southern Military District's missile units, air force, and naval forces will participate in these drills, according to the military department.

Following this, the Kremlin stated that the planned exercises are related to the statements made by Western officials regarding sending armed forces to Ukraine. “We have recently witnessed an unprecedented escalation of tensions, initiated by the President of France and the UK Foreign Secretary. All of this was very harmful rhetoric,” said Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for Russia.
