CIS Leaders to Gather for Friendly Dinner on May 8

The leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will arrive in Moscow on May 8 to participate in a friendly dinner organized by Russia. This was announced by Yuri Ushakov, assistant to the President of Russia, during a briefing.
Ushakov stated that following the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) summit on May 8, the leaders of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan will be joined by the presidents of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. “This meeting, which is already being held through the CIS, will also include the President of Cuba,” Ushakov added.
After the May 9 parade and laying flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow, the leaders of the CIS countries will leave Moscow.
