Denmark Allows Teenagers to Have Abortions Without Parental Consent

Denmark has changed its abortion regulations for the first time in 50 years, as reported by РИА Новости. It has been announced that teenagers aged 15 and older will be able to have abortions without the consent of their parents.

Moreover, the period for legal abortions in Denmark will be extended to the 18th week of pregnancy. This extension is clarified as necessary so that women have more time and opportunity to act based on information received during prenatal screenings.

The corresponding changes are set to take effect in June 2025.
