National Assembly Rejects Opposition's Proposal on Border Demarcation
Mariam Z.
The National Assembly rejected the proposal presented by the "Armenia" faction regarding a declaration on border demarcation and delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan, with a vote of 51 against and 27 in favor.
Earlier, it was reported that the National Assembly's Foreign Relations Committee had also rejected the declaration proposal.
The document emphasizes the necessity of demarcation and delimitation only after creating an atmosphere of trust, rather than through forceful pressure and threats.
It is noted that, first and foremost, Azerbaijani armed forces must leave Armenia's sovereign territories, and official Baku must cease aggressive rhetoric while also returning Armenian prisoners of war.
