Islamist Protest in Hamburg Calls for Establishment of Caliphate
A massive protest by Islamists took place in Hamburg, located in northern Germany, where demonstrators called for the establishment of a caliphate. According to Bild, more than a thousand people participated in the rally, organized by 25-year-old student Joe Adad Boateng.
Notably, the demonstration was coordinated with local authorities. The Hamburg police stated that there are no grounds to suggest that the protesters would incite disorder. "Suspicion alone is not sufficient for a ban," said police spokesperson Sandra Levgryun.
Earlier reports mentioned the arrest of three teenagers in Germany on suspicion of preparing for terrorism.
