The Kirantsi Area Has Not Yet Been Finalized, Says Tavush Governor
The Kirantsi area has not yet been finalized, and clarifications need to be made, Tavush Governor Hayk Ghulumyan stated in an interview with journalists on the ground. In response to a question from 'Azatutyun' regarding the fate of the houses in this area that are mapped to the Azerbaijani side, as well as what is in store for the village of Kirantsi, Hayk Ghulumyan replied that further clarifications are needed as the border line is thick, and it must be understood where the specific points will be.
The governor also mentioned that he does not know the locations of the border pillars. 'The Kirantsi area has not yet been finalized, so we can tell these people, 'brother, the shop you have is in our area or theirs.' According to the map existing before 1991... but there are also quite a few issues there, as that line implies a certain territory by itself. It needs to be located on-site,' he said, adding that he does not have information that the bridge will fall under Azerbaijani control.
