Residents Near Baghanis Notice New Pillars
Residents near Baghanis have noticed new pillars. This was reported by "Azatutyun." Last Sunday, the inhabitants of Baghanis observed new pillars in their vicinity that had not been there before.
Baghanis resident Mekhak Harutyunyan, an employee of the municipal department, collects garbage from the village houses every Sunday and takes it to the adjacent Baghanis-Ayrum area, which serves as the village's landfill site. He mentions that yesterday he did not notice the stone, numbered pillar published by the Prime Minister, but he saw wooden, red-painted pillars next to the landfill. "Even an ignorant person would understand that it’s the new border," he says.
“There were about 5-6 of them, with one every 10 meters. They weren’t aligned, with the reddish color painted above the middle," he states. He is now waiting for the village administration to decide whether to continue transporting waste to the area passing into Azerbaijan. However, Mekhak, the municipal worker, is clear about one thing: the area has become dangerous and should not be approached.
