Aliyev: Achieving Peace Agreement with Armenia is Realistic by November 2024
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has stated that reaching a peace agreement with Armenia is entirely realistic by November of this year. He made these remarks at an international conference held in Baku.
“Achieving an agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia by the time of COP29, at least on fundamental principles, seems quite realistic,” said the Azerbaijani leader.
According to him, the potential of the South Caucasus countries is known, and the Azerbaijani authorities are already aware of the areas where cooperation could be possible, provided that the parties end the long-standing conflict and sign a peace treaty.
Earlier, Aliyev announced that Baku has agreed to participate in a meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan, although the date for this meeting has not yet been specified.
