Who from Tavush Will Meet with Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan

Today, the mayor of Noyemberyan, the administrative heads of Baghanis, Voskepar, Kiranats, and Berkaber villages, as well as several villagers, will meet with Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan at the government building. This information was shared with Sputnik Armenia by the MP Vahe Galumyan (who is the brother of the Tavush governor).

It is noteworthy that political scientist Suren Petrosyan, who has settled in Voskepar, earlier mentioned in a conversation with Sputnik Armenia that today, at 18:00, leaders from four communities in Tavush will meet with Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, after which further steps will be determined.

“During the meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, several villagers are expected to present the certificates of their lands corresponding to the cadastre, which, according to the discussion, will be turned over to the other side (Azerbaijan),” he said.

Galumyan is confident that a solution needs to be found, which, however, is not within his authority but rather with the delimitation commission.

It should be reminded that the commissions on delimiting the borders between Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed on April 19 to begin the delimitation process from the Tavush region. The description of the specified sections of the border will be drafted based on the clarification of coordinates obtained from geodetic measurements in the area, which will be formalized in the corresponding protocol description that should be agreed upon and signed by the parties before May 15, 2024.
