Starting May 1, the 20% Reduced Bonus System Component for Choosing Electronic Notification Takes Effect

Starting May 1, 2024, a new component of the bonus system resulting from reforms in the Ministry of Internal Affairs will come into effect. After May 1, if decisions made based on violations recorded by video or photo surveillance are received via electronic notification, the fine amount will be reduced by 20%.

To activate the electronic notification, follow these sequential steps: First, access the online platform of the Road Police Service of the Republic of Armenia at roadpolice.am. For example, by clicking the "Login" button, you will enter the "Vehicles" subsection, where you can see your vehicle data.

Next, by clicking on the "Notifications" subsection, fill in your email address to subscribe and receive notifications about any violations via email. After entering your email address and clicking the "Submit" button, you will see a prompt: "Check your email and follow the link."

Next, access your email and follow the link received from the sms@roadpolice email address to confirm it. After confirming, you will return to the "Notifications" subsection of the roadpolice.am system, where you will see a green check mark indicating that your registration for electronic notifications was successful.

After properly completing the process and activating electronic notifications on roadpolice.am, the fine imposed for your violations will be reduced by 20%. For instance, if a violation recorded by video surveillance was expected to incur a fine of 5000 drams, under the condition of receiving notification electronically, the bonus reduction will apply, and the fine will amount to 4000 drams.
