Residents of Baghanis and Voskepar Block Interstate Road

Residents of the Baghanis and Voskepar communities in the Tavush province are currently conducting a protest, according to sources from Sputnik Armenia. They have blocked the section of the Armenia-Georgia interstate road between Baghanis and Noyemberyan.

The residents are expressing their dissatisfaction with the information about border delimitation released following today’s meeting of the delimitation commissions. They state that they want to live peacefully and safely in their homeland.

Earlier, it was reported that at the eighth meeting of the delimitation committees held today, the parties agreed to begin the delimitation process from the Tavush province. The description of the specified border sections will be prepared considering the clarification of coordinates resulting from geodetic measurements in the area, which will be formalized with an appropriate protocol description that must be agreed upon and signed by the parties by May 15, 2024.
