Four Soldiers Who Died in Accident Were Conscripts: NEWS

According to NEWS.am, all four soldiers who died in the accident involving a military Ural vehicle on April 12 were conscripts. Arek Armeni Kerobyan and Davit Hambardzumian Hakobyan were from Gegharkunik province, Slavik Vardan Vardanian was from Lori province, and Joseph Melkoni Azolian was from Ararat province.

Slavik Vardan Vardanian, a 20-year-old conscript who died in the accident near Meghri on April 12, was from Vanadzor. He had an older sister. “They were a poor, ordinary family. They lived in rented accommodation,” sources told the media.

19-year-old Arak Kerobyan was a conscript from the Inner Getashen community in Gegharkunik province. In an interview with NEWS.am, the mayor of Inner Getashen, Ruben Zuloyan, shared that Arek had joined the military service a year ago. He has one sister and one younger brother. The sister is a student, while the younger brother is in school. Arek’s father works abroad and had left for overseas work just a week ago.
