Kazakhstan's President Bans Sale and Distribution of Vapes

Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a law on "Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Health Issues," which includes a ban on the sale and distribution of vapes, according to a statement from the president's press service.

The law stipulates a ban on the sale and distribution of certain tobacco products, vapes, flavorings, and liquids intended for them, as well as their advertising (the law comes into effect 60 days after its official publication),” the press service reported.

The law aims to enhance the legal and financial protection of healthcare workers and increase their responsibility, as well as to prevent the spread of nicotine products among the youth and combat this issue, in line with the president's directives.
