Dubai International Airport to Resume Normal Operations Within 24 Hours
Dubai International Airport will return to normal operations within 24 hours, according to Emirates 24/7, citing the airport's Chief Operating Officer, Majed Al Jokeri.
"Dubai International Airport will resume normal operations within 24 hours. This means a full return to capacity and a regular flight schedule. Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 have already started servicing flights, although airlines have postponed flights due to adverse weather conditions," he stated.
He assured that contact is being made with stranded passengers, who are being provided assistance and informed about flight rescheduling and transfer options.
"Most airlines are in communication with travelers, and the situation is evolving. This encourages passengers to reach out to carriers for the latest information," he added.
On April 16, Dubai airport's operations were completely halted for 25 minutes due to flooding caused by heavy rainfall, after which flights resumed but with disruptions. The situation was complicated by the flooding or blockage of airport entrances.
