When the Powerful Close Their Eyes, You Must Rely on Yourself: Iranian Ambassador to Armenia

When international organizations ignore the rights of other members and the powerful close their eyes, you must rely on yourself to defend your interests and security. This statement was made today by Mehdi Sabhani, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Iran to Armenia, during a press conference in Yerevan, regarding Iran's actions against Israel.

"In order to prevent tension and war in the region, we called for an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council; however, due to the obstacles posed by the USA, France, and England, unfortunately, the Security Council did not even issue statements condemning the aggression and attacks on inviolable places, and the principles of international law and the Charter of Nations were once again ignored, showcasing the double standards of Western countries," the ambassador said.

He noted that Iran waited 10 days for diplomatic efforts to condemn and consider sanctions against the Zionist regime. However, Western countries not only failed to condemn the actions of the Zionist regime but also called on Iran to exercise restraint.
