Suspect in Armed Robbery Against US Citizen Found

On April 15, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Yerevan Police have received operational information regarding the whereabouts of a suspect wanted for armed robbery since March 27, by the Arabkir Division of the police.

According to Shamshyan, police went to the Vahagn Davtyan Park on Komitas Avenue, where they located and arrested 25-year-old Hovhannes Hakobyan, the suspect in question.

The source indicates that he was wanted on suspicion of carrying out an armed robbery against a foreign citizen on March 21. According to photojournalist reports, the victim, who sustained injuries to the head, is a US citizen. Sources confirm that money was stolen from the victim, the exact amount of which is still being established by police and investigators.
