VIDEO: Proponents of Closer Ties with Russia Hold Rally in Georgia

Supporters of closer ties with Russia have organized a rally near the main office of the "Georgian Dream" party. Representatives of the "Conservative Movement" party have gathered to protest the National Agency's decision to annul the party's registration.

As a reason for the registration denial, authorities claimed that the party failed to present the charter adopted at its congress to the Registry. However, there is a strong possibility that the true reason lies elsewhere, as supporters of the "Conservative Movement" aligned with Moscow suggest.

Police are present at the scene, but the demonstrators are determined not to disperse. They threaten to block railway highways if authorities do not comply with their demands for party registration. Members of the “Conservative Movement” are in favor of the idea of rapprochement with Russia.
