A Investigative Team Established Regarding the Tragic Accident in Meghri: Circumstances Being Clarified

Investigators are clarifying the circumstances of a deadly accident involving a vehicle transporting military personnel. According to spokesperson Gohar Abrahamyan from the Investigative Committee, “Today, in connection with the accident of a ‘Ural’ vehicle transporting servicemen from the RA Ministry of Defense’s military unit N, which resulted in the death of four servicemen and serious injuries to several others, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 4 of Article 538 of the RA Criminal Code (Violation of the rules for operating combat, special, or transport vehicles resulting in the death of two or more persons through negligence).

An investigative team has been formed and a preliminary investigation is underway to clarify all circumstances of the tragic event and the causes of the accident. At present, investigators are conducting initial investigative and procedural actions, including examining the scene of the incident and the crashed vehicle.
