Tragic Car Accident Results in Fatality

On April 11, a tragic car accident occurred in the Armavir Province. Around 7:20 PM, on the 26 km section of the Yerevan-Armvair highway, two vehicles collided: a "VAZ 2107" driven by 25-year-old Varazdat Sargsyan and a "VAZ 2106" driven by 68-year-old Avetik Gevorgyan.

According to Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, both drivers and a passenger of the "VAZ 2106", 40-year-old Armen Shamayans from Armavir Province, were taken to the "Vagharshapat" medical center with injuries. While the police were cordoning off the area, a report was received at the Vagharshapat police station from the hospital stating that one of the injured, A. Gevorgyan, had died without regaining consciousness.

Following the incident, a criminal case was initiated at the Vagharshapat Investigation Department. By the investigator's order, the vehicles involved in the accident have been moved to the special storage area of the Vagharshapat police department.
